Faversham Church

I have lived in Sittingbourne all my life and the next town to me is Faversham a lovely ancient Market town. In that times I travelled to the town on countless occasions' and each time I say I must visit St Mary of Charity Church

Sturgeon Hates the English

Nicola Sturgeon wants Independence for Scotland and she says that Scotland does not want to be governed by the Bureaucrats in London Yet she want to become part of the EU and be governed by the Bureaucrats in Brussels?  She maintains that she want be an independent country yet wants to be a member of the EU. An EU that is fast becoming a United States of Europe? If the Scots break away from the UK England will be financially better off and the Scots worse of but that is their choice. Although it could be said all of the UK should have a say whether we want to keep Scotland in the Union.

Yet the reason why she wants to leave the Union is based on dislike and Hatred of the English no more no less. I have travelled to Scotland for 40 years but what I have noticed in the last 10 years is there is animosity to the English, which encouraged by the SNP. Take this weeks Rugby England v Scotland, yes I wanted England to win but many of my friends said if there is one country they never want to lose to and that was Scotland.

The SNP and Sturgeon have deliberately set out to create disharmony between England and Scotland, know matter what the outcome of the Referendum they have achieved their aim. It will take a generation to return to the mutual respect we had of each other that we had 20 years ago. Sturgeon wants to be seen as a Female Braveheart and we know what happened to him.

Swedes in Costa Adeje

Got talking to a couple of Swedish Guys at first I thought they batted for the other side but they tell me they were brothers. Quite interesting talking to them as they live in the very North of Sweden during the Winter they only get 4 hours of daylight and in the Summer it can be 24 hours not sure I could cope with that. What I found quite disturbing was when I asked them about the Refugee Crisis in Sweden there reply was “There is no crisis” I said what about news reports, government statements, Video clips etc there reply was FAKE NEWS. How can you fake Video and TV showing riots?  It is worrying that two intelligent men can deny the problems muslins are creating in Sweden

Back at Costa Adeje

This is our 5^th visit to Costa Adeje and obviously must like the area. For a get way it is ideal Nice Beach Good Weather etc and I was going to say cheap but that is not the case any more. In a Café on the beach 2 Coffees and a Coke  9 euros yet Full English was 3 Euro, Pair of Flip Flops 28 Euro. We spent 2 occasions at the Flamingo Club excellent Hotel but expensive and I was nearly suckered in to a Apartment Share thankfully we pulled out. 

What was annoying when we signed up for the Flamingo we were promised 3 weeks so I booked a flight for our third week yet when we turned down the Apartment Share we were told we would not be able to use the Flamingo and had to use another resort. Problem was the flight was booked and I was not allowed to change.

So we went to Thomas Cook and booked another, which was all inclusive Hotel, which was the Isla Bonita on arrival the Hotel, it was a shock not what we expected it was like arriving on the set of Benidorm. It was very Big and very dated with TV 20 years old so after an horrendous journey I was far from happy.

 Yet it had a good restaurant with a good selection of food all be it some times not very hot, the staff were very good and the entertainment was of a good quality. So all in all not a bad choice, would I come again to this Hotel NO! We were told they are closing at the end of the season for refurbishment. It was the size of the Hotel I was not happy with mind you it had a diverse clientele with many languages being spoken it was like living in London
