Tenerife

I am once again at the Flamingo Club Costa Adeje Tenerife. One thing is if you come here expect a workout because everywhere you go are stairs and steep inclines, prices seem to have risen from when we came in February and I mean in Euro's so not the cheap holiday it used to be. I had bought a lot of Euro's a year ago when the pound was very high which I expect it will return. Met several of the Black Guys who sell  stuff on the promenade I quite like them they are hardworking and pleasant. I can very friendly with one of them and if I want anything I ask him.

Bought some Binoculars for the sights but Val keeps asking why am I always looking at the Beach 

The room was not up to the standard of last February so will be having words, still cannot understand why WiFI is not free in these hotels. Nice new Pool side Bar and entertainment Saturday night  was excellent with Magician, Parrots and singer 

Val fancied the Singer well at least she has someone her height

Fields of Athenry

I am on my holiday in Tenerife and on the Friday night we went to an Irish Bar where there was a guy playing Irish Music, I love it in fact some Irish friends of mine call me a Plastic Paddy. One of the songs always sung at place like this is The Fields of Athenry. This about a man stealing grain in the mid 1800’s to feed his family; he was caught and sent to Australia. Now I agree if you break the law you should be punished BUT this is somewhat extreme. Today if you are caught you would get a good telling off and sent to social for extra money to help pay for your mobile.

Yet on a more serious note here was man starving and in those days it was starvation and because he stole from a member of the Establishment he was punished in a draconian way. The Establishment in those days were the very rich who controlled every aspect of peoples lives. So have things changed well I think NOT because we are still controlled by the establishment but the establishment today is the Political Elite, Top Civil Servants, the Rich, Famous, Media and lefty Luvvies. Let me give you an example:

A Royal Marine is jailed for life for shooting dead a terrorist who had just killed and mutilated his squad, Tony Blair who started an Illegal war is not prosecuted and goes on to be a Multi Millionaire and is classified as respected Ex Prime Minster. So one justice for an ordinary Marine another for a rich politician

Hilary Clinton who will most probably become US President continually breaks the Law and who’s past is chequered to say the least BUT she is a member of the of the establishment again one law protects a rich member of the Establishment does the ordinary US citizen get the same protection?

Our recent Referendum was more the just a vote on EU it was a vote against the Establishment. Yet the Establishment still do not think that we peasants should have had the chance to vote as we know not we do, they still think they have the God given right to rules us without question or obligation.

I hope Trump wins in the US not for what he believes in but the fact he is anti establishment but it is unlikely as the whole of the Establishment are against him and ordinary Joe Public. Most of us believe we live in a democracy well really look at our country and tell me that is true?

SNP and we say we live in a democratic country

Just 24% of Scots voted for the SNP and she demands a seat at the table when it comes to Brexit and they say we live in a Democratic countr

Food Waste and the cost of the pound

I have included a photo of an Apple Orchard on the Lower Road Teynham to Faversham, notice the waste and one wonders why grow Apples if you do not intend to Harvest them or is there an EU Grant for growing fruit?

The reason I brought the subject up is because of the falling pound the cost of importing food would cost more, this was welcomed by remoaners, who rejoiced in price increases. Yet Daniel Hannan MEP said on leaving the EU food would be cheaper because a lot of bureaucratic red tape would be removed.

Yet would it be such a bad thing if imported food was to become more expensive? There has never been so much Food wasted in the UK over the last decade and why because it is to cheap, by reducing imports we will cut back on Travel or food miles as they now call it, this would be good for the environment, do we really need to import Ostrich, Kiwi Fruit etc and many other exotic fare and why import Apples when we are not picking the ones we have already. British Farmers would benefit as we would be forced to eat British .

The intelligencer, political elite, luvvies are always condemning the 1950’s and 1960’s and many of them along with celebrities chefs would laugh at what we ate in  those days. No we did not have all the fancy foods, sauces etc, ready-made meals and the only take away was a Fish and Chip shop. Yet we never went hungry, as our Mums would be there when we got home from school or work with a cooked meal, we ate what was in season. Yes in those days there was a quaint idea that Mum looked after the kids and done the cooking. The experts of today condemned the food of the 50's 60's etc

as boring and soggy that maybe true but one thing is for sure you very rarely saw a Fat person or someone with an inhaler.

 Obviously our lifestyles have changed mostly for the better but sometimes we can learn from the past. Preparing meals and eating seasonally plus eating at meal times can make us healthy and may even save us money

Cold Feet and Sex

Cold Feet has now finished have to admit I quite enjoyed it, the programme is about a group of Middle Class friends and their problems. I found it quite funny but what I cannot understand is how morals are portrayed in this type of production. You will find two 15 years olds caught having sex and the parents just laugh it off , now is it because they are middle class so that is OK I wonder what they would have called kids from a sink estate doing exactly the same? Does nobody ever question the morality of children some as young as 12 engaging in sexual activity or is that I am 66 and old fashioned?

We the had the obligatory Gay involvement have you noticed that every TV programme and films have a Gay involvement, same sex marriage etc. and the latest is transgender. The Film/TV industry is desperate to promote Gay people even though they only represent 1.5% of the population. What I found immoral was that a young man meets up with another Gay Man and with in a hour they are having sex in the toilets and the mother catches them and try’s to ignore it. Once again is this the type of thing done in Middle Class circles and what if the young man was from a sink estate  how would TV audiences react to that.

Surely there should be shown that the parents were upset about the fact that children were so promiscuous and that casual sex can result in many diseases? But am I just an old fuddy duddy who was a Young Man in the 1960’s who was taught a different type of Morals

King Kong Assaulted me in 1956

In 1956 when I was 6 years old a famous Film Star dressed as an Ape tried to pull my trousers down and touch me inappropriately that Star was King Kong.

What a load of Hogwash I made that up to offend King Kong.

Yet we now have 30 women claiming Donald Trump sexually assaulted them? Is that story any sillier then mine NO. I can not prove that King Kong touched me but you know its is a fabrication because it is so ridiculous, so why are the Media printing ridiculous stories about Trump with out any proof? The best one is the women who said he put his hand up her skirt 30 years ago. 30 years ago why has it taken so long for her to come forward? I expect she will say it was because she was traumatised an all the problems she has had over the last 30 years was because of this incident or is it because she can see an easy way to make money and fame. I hope Trump sues all them and if I were a US citizen I would vote for him not because I like him but because the Establishment, which includes Politicians, Media and Press, are doing their best to destroy him.

 Yet why is it that people can come out of the woodwork and make complaints about Celebrities etc. and the Media Press automatically believe them with out checking the facts this is extremely bad journalism. Many people’s lives are wrecked by false allegations but if you are very rich you can fight back like Cliff Richard is doing. What is worse if this trend carries on the people who are genuine will not be heard and the guilty will go free all because a journalist wants a story

This woman wrote a great letter to the editor that should have been published; but, with your help, it will get published via cyberspace!  ; From: "David LaBonte"  ; My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed. The people of France ;saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. ; Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. ; These immigrants truly knew what it ; meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one Red, White and Blue bowl.  ; And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights ; and privileges. Only they want to ; achieve it by playing with a different ; set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. ; I'm sorry, that's not what being an American is all about. I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900's deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life. ; I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.  ; And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty ;, it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill. Can you Trust the Media

One wonders how anyone can believe the Press or Media in the UK and USA anymore as it seems they all take the Establishment and Political Elite point of view. This was very much the focus of the Brexit campaign where they done the best to smear us who were in favour of Brexit. Now the same is happening with Donald Trump, why the British Press, Media etc spends so much time on an a US Election which we Brits have no say in is beyond me. Yet they do and try and smear him, the only way you can get an opposing view in this country is to go to Social Media in my case that is Facebook to get a view of that evil women Clinton
Most probably the BBC are the worst of them but have to say LBC are not far behind. On BBC they had a guy from the US Apprentice programme who went on to smear Trump this lasted 5 minutes. At no time did he have to prove he was even on the programme or that the was telling the truth but the BBC allowed this rant to go on. So you would have thought there would be some balance? At the end of the Interview the BBC said the Trump campaign in a statement that the everything this man said was false and unsubstantiated, was anyone from the Trump campaign interviewed NO
Many Republican Establishment figures say they will not vote for Trump. So they vote for Clinton. Yet it was the ordinary people of the Republican Party who voted for Trump to be the candidate mainly because all the other candidates were seen as just another load of Establishment Politicians. If Trump does not win the Election which I doubt if he will, the sustained assault is beyond belief, you will see Clinton in for 8 years unless she is impeached. The Republican Party will not hold Office for the next 20 odd years because of the Treachery of the Republican Establishment. The US needs another Political Party to appose the Establishment it will never produce a President but it can be an excellent pressure group. Remember how UKIP forced the Government to have a Referendum which has led to us leaving the EU

Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a fellow black

panther named Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was suspected of disloyalty. Rackley was

first tied to a chair. Once safely immobilized, his friends tortured him for hours by, 

among other things, pouring boiling water on him.

When they got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther member,

Warren Kimbro took Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley's

body was later found floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven, Connecticut.

Perhaps at this point you're curious as to what happened to these Black Panthers?

In 1977, that's only eight years later, only one of the killers was still in jail.

The shooter, Warren Kimbro, managed to get a scholarship to Harvard

and became good friends with none other than Al Gore. He later

became an assistant dean at an Eastern Connecticut State College.

Isn't that something!!!

As a '60s radical you can pump a bullet into someone's head and a few

years later, in the same state, you can become an assistant college dean!

Erica Huggins was the woman who served the Panthers by boiling the

water for Mr. Rackley's torture .. Some years later Ms. Huggins was

elected to a California School Board.

How in the world do you think these killers got off so easily?

Maybe it was in some part due to the efforts of two people who came

to the defense of the Panthers.

These two people actually went so far as to shut down Yale University

with demonstrations in defense of the accused Black Panthers during

their trial.

One of these people was none other than Bill Lan Lee. Mr. Lee, or Mr.

Lan Lee, as the case may be, isn't a college dean. He isn't a member

of a California School Board. He is now head of the United States

Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, appointed by none other

than Bill Clinton.

O.K., so who was the other Panther defender? Is this other notable

Panther defender now a school board member? Is this other Panther

apologist now an assistant college dean? No, neither!

The other Panther defender was, like Lee, a radical law student at

Yale University at the time. She is now known as The "smartest woman

in the world." She is none other than the former Democratic senator

from the State of New York---- our former First Lady, and the

Secretary of State, the incredible Hillary Rodham Clinton.

And now, as Paul Harvey said; "You know the rest of the story".
