Major belongs to an era of politicians who grew up and worked alongside the people who voted for them. Unlike the career politicians of today who attended private schools and live in ivory towers as far from their voters as possible, Which explains why they have not a clue how the ordinary people feel about what is happening to their country and their fears about the future of their children and grandchildren
