Lenny Henry has a chip on his shoulder

I have just listened to Radio 4 new programme and they had as a guest Editor Lenny Henry. Now I always liked Lenny but he has an almighty chip on his shoulder about being Black.

The first thing he done was to insist that all presenters on this mornings programme were from an ethnic background his argument that ethic minorities are under represented in Press, Media, Entertainment etc. . He may have a point but has he considered that they may not be good enough for the Job? The days when ethnicity, gender and sexuality were part of the job description have long gone, in fact I would go as far as to say the pendulum has swung the other way because of Positive Discrimination in favour of ethnicity, gender and sexuality  the White Heterosexual Male is being discriminated against. It is time the Government and Lefty/Liberal realise the British public want the best person for the job irrelevant of their ethnicity, gender and sexuality. Can I give you an example the Police over recent years have come under a lot of criticism is that because there is a fault in the system or is it a fault of Individual? If it is the latter could it be that because of Positive Discrimination the standard of Police Officers has dropped?

He then went on to interview a prominent UKIP member of Pakistani origin who he accused of being a Pawn for a Racist Organisation. I believe he was Amjad Bashir MEP, any way who ever it was he spoke very eloquently and answered all Lenny’s question truthfully. He is certainly someone I see as a MP who unlike Lenny can see the bigger picture and does not walk around thinking “Cos I am Black’ syndrome

Then there was an interview with the question “Are black authors only taken seriously when they write about race” Now can any you honestly say when you pick up a book to read you ask the question what is this person ethnicity NO. You may read a book because you like the authors work, I like John Grisham but I do not have a clue what he looks like, how old he is and what town he lives in, I just like his books. This piece lasted 9 minutes.

 

Over the Christmas period they invited many Guest Editors most of them I would suggest are the type of person who read the Guardian. So why do I listen to the BBC? I rather like the format but if company like Sky came up with the equivalent and have not such a left wing bias I would change to them

I will be 65 years old next year and I have kept the secret to long and now I am prepared to tell the World I am straight yes a Hetro-Sexual. My first recollection of this was when I was about 11 years old, when I began to get funny feeling when I saw girls doing gym, a little bit later I began to enjoy watching Honor Blackman as Cathy Gale in the Avengers, then it was Ursula Andres in the Doctor No posters. Things were now out of control I soon began reading the Titbits, I approached an understanding Teacher and he said I was quite normal and said I was very brave to say I was Straight. I met my wife Valerie when I was 17 and she soon realised I was straight which she said she was pleased about

Lets hope many of you out there who are straight will come out and with the supports of organisations like SHAM (Straight Heterosexual And Married) and  LAST (Lets All  be Straight Together)  with their help we Heterosexuals may gain the same rights as the Gay community

Christmas Eve Club AGM

CHRISTMAS EVE CLUB AGM

Once again the Christmas Eve Club met at the Taste of Portugal where they kept open till 6pm for us. The CEC is a group of friends who have met every Christmas Eve since 1966 when they met at the Beauty of Bath Pub. Most of the friends went to the same school Westland’s and when they were younger they would go on a Pub Crawl around the Town singing carols and drinking copious amount of Alcohol as they got older they have moderated their behaviour and have a get together around a meal, still drinking and reminiscing. The youngest is Norman (Nobby) Clarke at 63 the oldest Trevor Waghorn at 66, the rest of the CEC are Trevor Jordan, Martin Clarke, Keith Whyman, Keith Jacobs and John Elmer.

All have to wear the CEC club tie, in the past they also had sweatshirts (they seem to have shrunk or we have got bigger) hats, pin badges etc. All of us are in our 60’s so the latter doesn’t seem appropriate.

Some of the CEC only see each other at the AGM but the strength of our friendships is if we are needed we will rally round, I wonder if there is any other group in the country who have met every Christmas Eve for 48 years?

I rather like Nigel Farage he speaks as if he knows the ordinary man in the street; I think the poll is wrong as is the other Poll in the article, which says Nigel Farage popularity, has diminished.  I am sorry to say I do not like the Conservatives under Cameron BUT I will vote Conservative because I want a vote on the EU. Yes I know a vote for UKIP will let in Labour which will be a disaster for the Country can you imagine Labour Prime Minister with a deputy Prime Minister from the Scottish Nationals, But I would like to see the smug faces of all those Newspapers, TV pundits and comedians who continual knock him get a kick up the backside if they won say 10 seats. As for Poofters it is wrong for me to call a homosexual a poofter because I am a normal Heterosexual person yet Homosexuals can call themselves Poofs, take the group on the Jonathan Ross show called the 3 Poofs and a Piano, strange world where a very small percentage can govern what the majority think  and what about Black people calling each other Nigger?

German Speed-Churchill on Islam

Well back from Germany has to say if you like speed travel on a German Autobahn, you do 80mph in the slow lane. The amount of Lorries on the Continental road has increased by an horrendous amount since I was there last year, also the amount in England trying to cross via the Tunnel was incredible.

As I came into the entrance to the Tunnel saw the immigrants camp what I thought unusual was expecting a mishmash of plastic but instead was all the same material, so obviously someone or some organisation is supporting them with covering and tents. Those supporting them are the same do-gooders who are feeding them, do they not realise by doing this they encouraging them to Calais. I wonder if these people doing all this are doing it just to make them feel good well they shouldn’t as it is increasing the suffering. WHY are these ILLEGAL immigrants treated as victims? They are entering this country illegally so therefor they are committing a criminal act, they are aware they are committing a criminal act so they are CRIMINALS and should be treated as criminals. On capture they should be put in Prison or detention camps and then returned to their country of origin if they refuse to give their country of origin they should be incarcerated till they tell the truth. For those who say they should have legal representation YES but paid for by their country of origin or the country who allowed them into the UK i.e France or the EU and the UN it should not be the British Tax payer footing the bill

I still have relatives in Germany but did not get time to visit them, mind you travelling around would not be that costly as I was paying just 85p litre for diesel

CHURCHILL ON ISLAM

Unbelievable, but the speech below was written in 1899... (check Wikipedia - The River War).

The attached short speech from Winston Churchill, was delivered by him in 1899 when he was a young soldier and journalist.  It probably sets out the current views of many, but expresses in the wonderful Churchillian turn of phrase and use of the English language, of which he was a past master.  Sir Winston Churchill was, without doubt, one of the greatest men of the late 19th and 20th centuries.

He was a brave young soldier, a brilliant journalist, an extraordinary politician and statesman, a great war leader and British Prime Minister, to whom the Western world must be forever in his debt.  He was a prophet in his own time.  He died on 24th January 1965, at the grand old age of 90 and, after a lifetime of service to his country, was accorded a State funeral.
