Death of Cricketer

The death of the Australian Cricketer is tragic especially as it was a fluke accident and he was so very young. What I can not understand the hype around his death, he was after all he was  just a cricketer all be it an extremely good one, there are many other people who die every second yet there names are never mentioned. Have we got the stage that Sportsman and Celebrities have a higher status not just in life but in death  as well?
