Michael Brown Of course poverty will
be country and time dependant since the resources commanded by the average
individual or family will be different from country to country and from time to
time, as will what are considered ordinary living patterns, customs and activities.
Jo Dollimore I'm sorry for those poor
people in the so called third world countries. Also the poor children - it
makes me so sad. But their governments have the money to invest but they choose
to spend it on arms or themselves or paying countries like us back. As a...See more

again I posed the quest Why are we spending on overseas aid. Oversea aid can in
the long run benefit GB because if we can aid poor countries to improve

Chris Hanson You asked where you said
you questioned spending on overseas aid like you hadnt said it! Do you actually
stop and think about what you post here before blurting it out?
Martin William Clarke Michael Brown Poverty is
Country and Time dependant is Socialist clap trap so called GB poverty promoted
by the Left wing is a political ploy. If I am wrong give me the details of 10
families who are in poverty and let me see there income and expenditure . All
political Parties and ideology will generalise but that is not fact
Martin William Clarke Yes I did say questioned Overseas
aid mea culpa BUT you said and I quote "Yet you want to cut all foreign
aid "to help our own"?? Your comments get crazier and crazier"
Please tell me where I said anything like that? I suggest you take your own
advise

Chris Hanson "in recent years it
has been widely accepted that poverty is relative to the place and time you
live in."
Martin William Clarke I have made my views known I
read all those reports but will not alter my view point
Chris Hanson Then you are in the
minority
Martin William Clarke Maybe I am in the minority
but does that make me wrong? But how do you know I am in the Minority because
you said I am? This comment was made in the Daily Express EU auditors refuse to
sign off more than £100billion of its own spending

Chris Hanson Well yeah it kinda does,
"widely accepted that poverty is time and place dependant" is what
that report says. You say that is "socialist claptrap". You ask for
proof then say you will not alter your viewpoint, you're embarrassing yourself
what with that and moaning about gossip on the gossip board... I cant be
bothered to argue with you anymore, have a good day
Martin William Clarke Once again you try and
misrepresent me by saying I will not alter my viewpoint as I said I have read
all the reports that is why I will not alter my viewpoint BUT if you have
physical proof which I doubt you have then I maybe persuades to change my mind. Doreen Aldred has said "On good
authority l've been told definition of poverty A household which earns under
60% of the average wage" that is about £308 a week do you honestly call
that Poverty. Any way i enjoyed the debate
