Henderson MP and the Pleb

Here is an MP who tells you how it is

This ought to be sent out all MP's regardless of  Party. Gordon has not forgotten what it is to be ordinary a Pleb. Keep it coming Gordon we need MP's like you

The recent episode in which the Government Chief Whip allegedly called a Downing Street policeman “a pleb” got me thinking.
Andrew Mitchell denied the allegation and I am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.  However, it would not surprise me if he has used such a disparaging remark on other occasions, because sadly this attitude is symptomatic of too many Members of Parliament.
And it is not just the MPs who went to public school who look down their noses at the “plebs” they consider inferior.
There are members on both sides of the House who think themselves too important to be polite to the parliamentary staff, such as the clerks, door keepers, catering staff and cleaners, without whom they would be unable to function properly.
Some MPs are even rude to their own office staff, treating them like dirt. I find such behaviour inexplicable and quite unforgiveable.
But it is the difference in some backbench MPs when they are promoted to ministerial level that is the most unappealing; almost immediately they exude an air of self importance that borders on pomposity.
One of my colleagues from the 2010 intake of MPs was promoted in the recent reshuffle. It was somebody with whom I had got on well whilst sitting on the backbenches. I bumped into the new minister recently and extended my warmest congratulations, only to be blanked because the minister was in the company of a couple of Cabinet ministers. How sad.
The problem is that is that too many MPs have never had a real job and have no idea about the real world. Others have allowed their ambition to override the primary reason they are in Parliament, which is to represent their constituents.
In many ways I am lucky; I travel home to my constituency every day and have a closer relationship with my community than most of my colleagues.
I understand that there are plenty of people in Sittingbourne and Sheppey who will give me a deserved kick if I forget who I am, where I come from and who I represent!

Squeaky and a bright idea

I like a lot of people blame the Labour Party and the last Labour Government for the mess this country is in at the moment but I also blame David Cameron/Nick Clegg for not doing enough to get us out of this mess. Yet after listening to the Labour Party conference most of which was pure waffle there was one item from Squeaky Ed Milliband, which I totally agreed with and which this terrible coalition government ought to take on board, which was a practical Baccalaureate.

For years I have been saying that we spend too much time on convincing Young people that the only way forward is to get a Degree anything else is a failure and of course the ones who benefited from this was kids from middle class families, not all I agree but the majority. So the 50% of kids left were classified as no hopers. Apprenticeships practically stopped, as did other training schemes like YTS, which in many occasion was very successful. To compensate for the increase in Youth Unemployment the Government (Labour) increase the School leaving age to 18. With each Government trying to convince us their education policy was working they dumbed down exam and brought in left wing systems where no body failed just got lower grades. Sorry Kids but sometimes in life you fail at something LIVE with it and gain strength from it.

In my blog of September 18th I once again stated that we should be offering kids who have to stay on at School till they are 18 and do not have the academic ability or just do want to go to University, the right to alternative qualifications I suggested City & Guilds, more BTech or even forms of apprenticeship. When someone like me suggest ideas like this I am ignored and laughed at as some sort of Right Wing nutcase. Yet here we have a leading politician, all be it a Labour one, agreeing with me. He has come up with the name Baccalaureate but that is just a name. I know schools like Sittingbourne Community College are already moving in this direction and I hope many more follow. My one great hope this does not become a political boxing match sometimes an opponent comes with a good idea and if it is good use it. An adage I have used in 40 years of Coaching Judo, Sombo, and Jiu Jitsu.

For years Employers have used the excuse we do not have enough skilled workman to do the jobs that is why we employ cheap foreign Labour? Well now we can stop all that as we now have the chance to eradicate Youth Unemployment

EGGS

A HEALING FOR BURNS
PLEASE READ

A young man sprinkling his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to check the contents of the barrel to see how much pesticide remained in it.
Instead of using a torch, he raised the cover and lit his lighter; the vapours ignited and engulfed him.
He jumped from his truck, screaming.
His neighbour came out of her house with a dozen eggs and a bowl yelling:
"bring me some more eggs!"
She broke them, separating the whites from the yolks.

The two neighbour women applied the whites onto the young man's face.

When the ambulance arrived and the EMTs saw the young man, they asked who had done this.
Everyone pointed to the lady in charge.

They congratulated her and said: "You have saved his face."

By the end of the summer, the young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank her.
His face was like a baby's skin.

A Healing Miracle for Burns:

Keep in mind this treatment of burns is being included in teaching beginner firemen.
First Aid consists of first spraying cold water on the affected area until the heat is reduced which stops the continued burning of all layers of the skin. Then, spread the egg whites onto the affected area.

One woman burned a large part of her hand with boiling water. In spite of the pain, she ran cold tap water on her hand, separated 2 egg whites from the yolks, beat them slightly and dipped her hand in the solution. The whites then dried and formed a protective layer.

She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen and continued during at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of beaten egg white. By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day there was hardly a trace of the burn. 10 days later, no trace was left at all and her skin had regained its normal color. The burned area was totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg whites, a placenta full of vitamins.

Am I a Brit

I have sent the following, which is being circulated by email throughout GB, to the Sittingbourne News, Your Swale and Kent on Sunday. Do You think they will print it?

I THINK THIS MAN HAS IT ALL COVEREDI COULDN'T SPOT ANYTHING HE LEFT OUT.

"I am the Tory Party's Worst Nightmare.  I am a White, Tax-Paying, God fearing English man.  I am a hard working Brit and I work long hours to earn a living.

I  believe in God and the freedom of religion, but I don't push it on others.  I believe in British products and buy them whenever I can.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and not to some governmental functionary, to share with others who don't work!

I think owning a home doesn't make you a  capitalist; it makes you a smart Brit.  I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.  Get over it.  Join in with the majority!

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, you should do it in English.  I believe there should be no other language option.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are fellow Brits like Freddy Flintoff and Winston Churchill  and I know I've missed a few thousand!!!!!

I don't hate the rich. What I hate is the way they always manage to avoid paying proper taxes.     I don't pity the  poor, I just hate the way they are always moaning that they are hard done by!!

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time watching or arguing about it.

I believe if you don't like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country!

This is Britain
.....We like it the way it is and even  more so the way it was...so stop trying to change it to look like some other socialist country!   If you were born or legally migrated here and don't like it... you are free to move to any Socialist  country that will have you.  I believe it is time to really clean house, starting with the House of Commons, the seat of our biggest problems.

I want to know  where the "Do Gooders" get their money from, and why are they always part of the problem and not the solution? Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I also think the cops have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what race, colour or creed you are.     And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my driving licence.  I think it's good....

I dislike those people trying to guilt me into making 'donations' to their cause....Get a job and support yourself and your family!

I believe 'illegal' is illegal no matter what the lawyers think!

I believe the Union Jack flag should be allowed to be flown anywhere in the United Kingdom !

If this makes me a BAD Brit, then yes, I'm a BAD Brit.  If you are a BAD Brit too, please forward this to everyone you know....

We want our country back!   My Country.....
I hope this offends all illegal aliens.

My great, great grandfather watched as his friends died in the Boer War.  My grandfather watched and bled as his friends died in World Wars 1&2.  I watched as my friends died in Sierra Leone Bosnia, & Desert Storm.  Our sons and daughters watched & bled as their friends died in Afghanistan and Iraq .   None of them died for the Afghanistan and Iraq Flag.  Every Briton died for the British flag.

At one high school, foreign students raised a Middle East flag on a school flag pole.  British students took it down. Guess who was expelled...the students who took it down

West London high school students were sent home, because they wore T-shirts with the Union Jack flag printed on them.

What is going on??   What idiots do we have in authority??   Enough is enough.

This message needs to be viewed by every Brit; and every Briton needs to stand up for Britain . We've bent over to appease the Brit-haters long enough.  I'm taking a stand.

I'm standing up because of the millions who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the British flag.

And shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message.  IT IS NOT !

Britons, stop giving away Your RIGHTS !

THIS IS OUR COUNTRY !

This statement DOES NOT mean I'm against immigration !

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE, IN MY COUNTRY, welcome to come legally:

1. Get a sponsor  !
2. Learn the LANGUAGE, as immigrants have in the past!
3. Live by OUR rules !   Dress as we Britons Do
4. Get a job !
5. Pay YOUR Taxes !
6. No Social Security until you have earned it and paid for it !
7. Find a place to lay your head !

If you don't want to forward this for fear of offending someone, then YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM  !

We've gone so far the other way... bent over backwards not to offend anyone.

WAKE UP BRITAIN ! !  !

If you do not Pass this on, may your fingers cramp !

Made in BRITAIN & DAMN PROUD OF IT!!!!!"
AMEN"

Connie has a Fright & Jobseekers

My Granddaughter 14 year old Connie had a fright walking home form school she had a couple of Eastern European or Turkish looking guys one was about 30 the other a shot dumpy 50 year old, they were walking towards her starting to look her up and down, then started to follow her, she had to run home. After telling her mother Donna they both walked up the road to confront them, Donna asked what there game was and they just laughed saying NO SPEAKEE ENGLISH Donna warned them in her language and in her manner they best keep away. On there return home Donna telephone the Police and the School and with in a short space of time they were round and have started to look for them. It seems also there has been a problem in the Medway towns where Eastern Europeans have been trying to drag young women into cars. One Wonders what this country is coming to, on this occasion they foreigners but that does not means there are not sone deviant Brits about as well.

Jobseekers gather at Swale Jobs Fair

Over 850 unemployed people in Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Faversham visited the Wyvern Hall on Wednesday 26th September to attend the Swale Jobs Fair hosted by Gordon Henderson MP.

The Jobs Fair, which was open from 10am until 4pm, had 38 exhibitors present with some 500 jobs on offer including approximately 300 for the new Morrison’s supermarket currently being built in Sittingbourne, 70 jobs with the new Best Western Coniston Hotel opening on 8th October 2012 and 60 jobs with a number of local Care Homes. There were also a number of manufacturing, engineering and production jobs on offer.

In total over 1,100 people came through the doors of the hall, which included, in addition to those who were unemployed, school leavers and members of the public looking for a change of career or to improve their skills.

Mr Henderson, who opened the Jobs Fair and spent time talking to a number of visitors said:

“The Swale Jobs Fair was a fantastic success and I would like to congratulate my Constituency Manager, John Burke, and my caseworker, Mathew McGill, for all the hard work that went into the organisation of what was acknowledged to be the best such event in Kent.

“The event attracted 38 companies, all with jobs to offer, and the Wyvern Hall was really buzzing all day with people looking for work. I was immensely impressed with the commitment and support offered by all the staff of JobCentre Plus, who worked closely with my office both on the day and prior to the Jobs Fair to ensure the day was such a success.

“I would like to thank also the companies that took part in the Jobs Fair and those organisations without whose sponsorship the event could not have taken place, including Swale Borough Council,   Kent County Council, Swale Heating and Shepherd Neame.”

“The enthusiasm of those seeking work and careers was evident from the many comments placed by visitors on the Jobs Fair comments board.  'Bang tidy' was one of the compliments we received and pretty well summed up the feeling of those for whom we organised the event!”

John Cubitt, Deputy Cabinet Member for Education, Learning and Skills at Kent County Council added:

“The Swale Jobs Fair was a great success and I’m looking forward to seeing how many jobseekers are successful in gaining employment over the next few months, as a result of the event.

“The local MP’s input in the organisation was a major factor in the Jobs Fair’s success and the combination of organisations working together culminated in many people being inspired. This is a model which could be used all across Kent and could ultimately bring unemployment down.”

Can You Believe Cameron

This Government does take the biscuit they announce they intending cutting our Army by 8000 troops yet they spend Billions of pounds on Overseas aid which does not help the poor just makes the Rich richer. If they do reduce our armed forces, they want to stop the UK being the Worlds Policeman and what is left of our armed forces should protect our interest and getting rid of our internal terrorist. Have look the list below:

Race Night and the Oak

Had a great weekend, my son John organised a Race Night Club to raise money for the members of the Warriors Grappling Academy attending the World Sambo Championships in Minsk in November. It was a great family night and a cheap one just £2 to come in and you bring your own booze and food, this type of evening is becoming very popular as the cost of eating and drinking out is very expensive. John was always the lucky one in the family when it comes to a gamble, like his Grandfather, he won over a £100. The first prize raffle of a Brand new Ipad went to Jamie Marzetti one of the Clubs supper stars. I try and avoid a lot of alcohol as I get old the hang overs get worse but John’s mate Neil (lips) tempted me with some Bombay Sapphire Gin for those who like Gin you will know that is hard to resist only has three but still made fell rough the following day. John’s mate Neil and Stuart were both at the race night he known them since school days and it good to see them supporting him

Sunday John’s Girlfriend Vicky invited us for a meal at the Oak to celebrate her son’s Tom 18th Birthday. As I have mentioned a Portuguese guy Carlos runs the Oak, it more like a Continental Bar where you can drink and eat, with no loud music or football. A bit apprehensive about a traditional Roast Dinner being cooked by a Portuguese guy but boy was I wrong it was terrific. Have to admit it is the only Pub I feel comfortable in even to the extent I am going to get the Christmas Eve Club to meet there.

Some bad news through someone I know has just told me his 17 year old daughter is pregnant, have to be honest I would not know how to deal with the disgrace if one of my granddaughters was in the same position. I have warned my oldest grand children that anything like that would bring disgrace on the family and I would accept no excuses. He has now got to house the daughter, her boyfriend and the child. She is still at school and I hope she is not given a flat, which we the Taxpayer has to pay for. Have told my grand kids as I did my own children that should save themselves till they are married or at least till they old enough to understand all the consequences.
