On Saturday had a meal at a Moroccan Restaurant in Whitstable underneath the Railway arch is was brilliant and can recommend it to anyone. For those interested for my starter I had the Baked Goats Cheese glazed with Orange Blossom (do not know where they got that), honey on roasted beet and spinach. As a rule I dislike beetroot but as I paid for it I tried it and have to admit it was tasty. My main course I had Beef Tangia: slow braised beef in a sticky fragrant sauce with prunes, walnuts and grapes on a chilli spiked butternut squash puree. Oh and Val had pan Fried Lambs Liver
Years ago when you went to a Restaurant you would dress for the occasion, not today people were turning up in torn T shirts and Shorts and worse still a couple came in and put their feet on chairs. These people were not Chavs they were middle class professionals the same lot who let their kids run all over the place. Whilst there we watched the Whitstable Carnival a throw back to the 60’s but great fun
After the meal we went back to our Static in Homing Park and then went into the Bar where they had entertainment from Justin Timberlike yes a Tribute Singer have to admit not a great lover of Justin Timberlake but this Anthony Whitehead put on a good show not just as a singer but as an entertainer as well plus he did sing many other favourites well worth seeing
