Open Letter to Prime Minister Cameron

Dear Sir .

I have just reached the age of 64 and in those 64 years I have seen many changes in the UK not all for the best. One of the positive sides is the discrimination to minority groups is on the decline; one of the most discriminated was against Gay People. I have often said what a person sexuality, gender or race have to do with being the right person for the Job seems illogical  and rightly so discrimination on those factors was outlawed. Yet instead of leaving it at that various government brought in Positive Discrimination laws, this where minority groups get preferential treatment over the majority by definition this is unjust. Something various governments have done seem on the surface very fair take Civil Partnership if two Gay people want to live together they should have some protection with in Law but why was that restricted to Gay people? Why could not normal heterosexuals have a Civil Ceremony?  Why could not family members have a civil ceremony?

Now lets take same sex Marriage those in favour of this tell us it all about two people loving each other, yet the name Same Sex Marriage is not the correct name it should be Gay marriage as Brothers can not marry brother, Sisters can not marry Sister which are of the same sex Why? In times gone past close  relatives never married or had sex  because of thew the danger to the offspring. In The Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill introduced into the UK parliament in 2013 specifically excluded non-consummation as a ground for the annulment of a same-sex marriage. This being the case as sex with same sex couples is not prerequisite why Not let family members marry. In a normal marriage i.e. two people of opposite sex

Throughout ecclesial and secular history and hitherto in law, both spiritual and temporal, consummation has required sexual intercourse which is ‘ordinary and complete’; that is, the penetration of a vagina by a penis.

Why is it that some  religions who allow Polygamy not recognised by the government? in fact I believe it is still illegal to be married to more the ne one person. The rush to appease a very vociferous and influential minority i.e. Gay people will lead to lot of unnecessary problems

Recently Stonewall has published a Gay Friendly Employer’s List see the article below. Once again a small minority getting preferential treatment, you may note I keep using the word minority. Pre the 2010 census Stonewall lobbied the government to include person sexuality on the census form, which they agreed to. Pre the 2010 Census the figures band about by Government was between 6% to 10% were Gay this was to justify their pro Gay rhetoric, yet when the Census was conclude the actual figure was 1.5%!

 So what of other minority groups do they get any preferential treatment NO what the government does is group everyone to together as Female or Ethnic Minority. Yet I can name two minority groups, which don’t get any preferential treatment 1) Roman Catholic are approx. 9% of the UK population, yet how many of the top 100 Gay friendly companies allow their employers to wear RC Crucifix, allow them to attend Mass on a Day of Obligation, allow them to talk about their religion? 2) Sikhs are 1.4% of the population nearly as many as the Gay population, are they allowed their traditional dress and regalia in the workplace?

So you can see Mr Cameron the Gay Pendulum has swung in the totally opposite direction in the last 50 years. 50 years Gay people were ostracised, in some cases physically beaten, their abnormal sexual behaviour was even illegal and now this 1.5% of the population has inordinate influence in Government, Government Institutions, Political Parties, Armed forces and in the work place and very much at the detriment of the vast majority. The time has come to make everyone in the UK equal

The right to equality is the right of all human beings to be equal in dignity, to be treated with respect and consideration and to participate on an equal basis with others in any area of economic, social, political, cultural or civil life. All human beings are equal before the law and have the right to equal protection and benefit of the law.” Positive Discrimination does not fit into that criterion

 If you go out with Carlos you eventually come on to Portuguese food and I have to say I had some marvelous meals but the best one were cooked by him and his mother. In Portugal you cook from fresh and even in small villages you will have markets with not a T shirt in sight. So first job of the day of to the locla market and then to a fish market in a larger town

Worst meal of the Holiday it was a local dish served in a restaurant it consisted of Pigs ears, Pigs Trotters, bits of old chicken, belly pork, beef, sausage over boiled cabbage, carrots, sweet potatoes. Sorry Carlos this was a no go

Portugal Photo's Part 1

My Portugal holiday in January was one of the best I have had in years, who could imagine sun bathing in January even Valerie got her bikini on.

Our hotel was the Clube Praia da Oura Albufeira which he paid just £26 a night which I thought was a bargain, yet when I come again I will move closer to the Old Town. Round the OBT hotel was rather dead with most of the bars and restaurant closed in the Old Town  most bars and restaurant were open

It was Carlos and Kim who made our holiday they took us to parts of the Algarve  lot of people very rarely see, Castles, Churches, beautiful scenery and much more. Both myself and Val will make this a regular holiday in January/February and we can recommend it to anyone

Am I the only one who has no interest in reading sport pages and switches the news of when the sport comes on? I am an ardent Sherlock Holmes fan read all his books by the time I was 15 and this updated version has enthralled me, till the final episode? Sorry it was a ridiculous plot very disappointing.
Another programme I like is the Chase, what amazes me how young people have no grasp of their countries history. Question today was about the Albert Memorial and who Prince Albert was married to Answer Queen Victoria, one would have thought this was common knowledge. Yet the reply was Do Not Know, this was the response to many history questions from younger contestants but they know a lot about celebrities. Says a lot about our education system, I left School at 15 in 1965 with no bits of paper but my general knowledge of History, Geography was far better then those leaving School today and yes I could do the three R's all from a boy going to Westlands Secondary School

More Portugal - Ipad for sale

Carlos and Kim took us out again on Sunday to show us more of the real Portugal, this time it was the SouthWest of the country, taking us to Sagres and Lagos. The visit to Fortress of Sagres was extremely interesting but what was unusual was watching men fishing on the edge of the cliff. Carlos also showed us some houses with wings (can you guess what that is?)

If you are with Carlos it is not long before you taste Portuguese food our first stop was a little cafe just  outside  Lagos where I had Octopus marinated in oil, vinegar, herbs and lemon juice,  delicious this was followed by a fish sandwich. Which even Val enjoyed till I told her it was some sort of eel. Dinner was a totally different  affair, we went into a very large restaurant I had the dish of the day This consisted of pigs ear, pigs trotters, pork belly, beef, chicken, sausage an loads of over boiled vegetables. The pigs ears were rubbery tasting of nothing and why people like pigs trotters is beyond me as there is no meat on them, I am sure Carlos would have done a better job.

I would have liked to put photographs on the blog but I am using an Ipad2 which seems to incapable of doing work like a laptop . So when I return I will get on my computer at home will upload photos and SELL THIS IPAD ANY OFFERS it has a key board as well

Why is everyone making a big thing about this Mark Duggan? The man was a known Gangster here and abroad, he mixed and was friendly with jailed murderer, his family were involved with criminality, so various news reports have said. I see that labour, LibDem, EU Commissioners are ganging up to stop a EU referendum and their spokesman Peter Mandleson has even said the voters should not be left to make such a decision, this backed up by non elected EU Commissioners. The same Commissioners who say there is no immigration problem in the UK? Cameron may pretends to be in favour of a referendum but he like the rest of the Political Elite want the EU so they can feather their own nest. This was the headline by an other so called UKIP gaffe in the DM, well read the article because it is not as straight forward as the headline suggests.

Stephen Lawrence death was a tragedy and a disgrace, the fact it took so long to bring to justice those who murdered him was an insult to British Justice. Yet time is to move on, his parents were right to campaign to get Justice but the mother especially has made it a vehicle to further he political career with the Labour Party when she accepted the labour whip in the House of Lords

First Day in Portugal

This winter for some reason has been terrible for me it has made me really miserable, so when my friends Kim and Carlos from the Taste of Portugal said they were off to Portugal in January, I thought what a good idea. So on January 9th we left a wet cold England to holiday in Portugal. A apartment in Club Praia Da Oura Albufiera Algarve  was our base, Carlos and Kim picked us from the Aeroport and took us to Messines Village where Carlos was born, they have rented a small house in the old part very close to his mother. This was the real Portugal the real Algarve, small narrowed cobbled streets, the Village centre  was for local people small family owned shops and cafe, with a proper village market not a T  Shirt in sight. I felt immediately at home we then went back to Carlos's House for a typical Portuguese meal. Before the Dinner we sat on his little verandah looking over his small garden with Lemon tree full of Lemon, drinking a bit of the local fire water. The difference from the UK was not just cultural but weather, to be able to sit outside in a polo shirt in weather similar to June in England in January was fantastic and certainly lifted my spirits. To give you idea of the village and its life style, Carlos mum made a Chicken and Potato stew, and old recipe with an old broiler chicken cooked for hours feet as well, it seem they fight to who get the chicken feet. Carlos walked round to his mums to this delicious pot of food. This was absolutely delicious and I said to Carlos why not put it on the menu? he told me it takes such a long time to cook you would have to get a booking well in advance shame it was  lovely dish.
I mentioned lemons something I did not realise there is abundance in this part of Portugal yet I am told they do not export them, the price is ridiculous about 50p a kilo min you all their fruit and veg is cheap. Orange and lemons crop 3 times a year and taste exceptionally sweet, it seems they do conform to uniform shape required by the EU hence no export. So where ever you go in this part of the country you see orange, lemon and olive trees. Carlos is very proud of this area so when he said he was to take us our Hotel I should have realised it could be a round about way, he took in l his sights of his village and surrounding area. This was a brilliant start to our holiday and something we would never have seen if we had just gone to the hotel.

On the way to the hotel Carlos would make a point of saying beautiful the roundabout were, with my sense of humor this a great time to take the micky out of him and I gave each roundabout a mark. Yet I have to be honest they do make the roundabout a focal point, one had a massive clock another a globe another giant worms and so on. Carlos and Kim's help did not stop there when got to the hotel, there help was invaluable s we got a room which could you barely swing  cat and a cat with a small tail. As soon as the pair of them saw this they were straight down to reception and we done a Sharon Carrott and had a room change, plus Carlos carried the cases.

18 year old thinks I am homophobic

As most of you know I do not use swear words in my Blog, because of various developments I have been reading quite lot of Facebook and cannot believe the amount of swear words used. I thought that some of the more intelligent people would refrain from this type of thing on the contrary I looked at a Primary School Teachers Facebook and saw loads of swear words. One wonders why kids swear so much when the teachers use it.

I am always surprised to find out who reads my blogs once again trawling through Facebook I found an 18 year old University student obsessed with my Blogs on Gay issues so to appease him I will bring up the Evander Holyfield discussion on Gay people on that ridiculous Channel 5 programme Big Brother. NO I did not watch it but heard the report on several Radio stations, something was said about having more Gay people in some aspect of life. He replied that why would it make any difference, he then went on say gay people can be cured; this was in a private conversation. Channel Five Gestapo then brought him to one side and told him if he talked like that again he should be sent off. What ever happened to Free Speech? Even a gay presenter on LBC said he should be allowed say what he wants. I do not believe you can be cured from being Gay, it something you are born with in my opinion and I cannot see what your sexuality has to do with what job you have but I do not believe in same Sex Marriage or positive discrimination in any form, I also believe the Gay Community which is only 1.5% of the population have to much power and influence

My 18 year old reader believes I am  Homophobic because I question these things? Am I Homophobic when I say that their sexuality is abnormal, dictionary take on the word  Abnormal “Not typical, usual, or regular; not normal;” I do not use the word Perversion although according to dictionary I could as the dictionary for Perversion is “sexual behavior that is considered abnormal and unacceptable.” As society has now decided Homosexuality and Lesbian is acceptable it would not be the right word for Gay people but is most certainly is for Bisexuals.

It is obvious that this Young man is not sure about his own sexuality but to insult someone who has opposing views, especially when he do not check the facts is wrong. Mind you he has the advantage of being young and can learn from his mistakes.

Jean White-Apos Therapy-FaceBook

Yesterday was not the best of Days had to attend the funeral of Jean White wife of Roly White, a very old friend of the IBF and me. It was a terrible rainy day the only saving grace that it was a nice service in a beautiful historic Church Minister Abby. Jean suffered form Dementia for 11 years she is now in far better place. Amen

After the funeral I had to go to the Private Hospital at Benenden, what a terrible journey all because one road was shut for weeks. Those who know the area will know that the quickest way is going through Leeds Village and the journey is about ¾ hour because of this diversion it put an extra ½ hour on the journey.

The reason I was the hospital was to try a new treatment for my knee call Apos Therapy, just a few days ago I was told by a surgeon that I would need the other knee replaced most probably in May. But if keeps me away from a knee replacement for a few years it will be worth dipping into my savings

Yesterday I asked for help about Facebook and it was pleasing see so many suggestion which I have taken note of.

FACEBOOK really can be an evil medium. I have been attacked on this Facebook by a family I used to know, as I do not have an individual Facebook the attacks only came to light a few days ago. People think they can go on Facebook or Twitter and say what they like whether it is truthful or not, they think they above the law of Libel or criminal law well they are not. This Family (I have not named them because of potential criminal action may be forthcoming) continue to lambast me and now other members of my club, yet when you try and mediate with them they just insult you more. So now I have reported them to Facebook, asked my solicitor to evaluate the libellous content. Have asked the Police to see me as I am told some of their comments break the law, it also suggested I contact their employer and universities to see whether they are suitable people

All I have asked for is an apology about the lies and false accusation, I do not care if they call me fat, a terrible Coach, bad letter writer etc. these are just personal opinions although I may not agree with them there is nothing illegally about that but the rest? 

Hopefully Facebook will close them down like they did with another site they were linked with

Facebook assassination

I was told yesterday that a women and her brood I trying to some  character assassination oh Facebook

Having looked at the items of which I have kept copies, they are right complete set of lies and fabrication, I contacted this woman via email only to be met with abuse. So what to do

1) I could reply in kind but this would perpetuate the problem
2) I could ask her employer if they can assist
3) I am told that you can reports her to Facebook but after looking it only allows to report one page, while women and her brood have made many libelous insults
4) most probably the only way  forward is to see a Solicitor
5) Could this be a hate crime

Facebook needs to be controlled better so people can not put lying allegation. Has anyone of you had this problem?
