It’s Remembrance Sunday this weekend so please read the stuff below. These lads are the best we've got, good luck to all of them.

The average British soldier is 19 years old…..he is a short haired, well built lad who, under normal circumstances is considered by society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears and just old enough to buy a round of drinks but old enough to die for his country – and for you. He’s not particularly keen on hard work but he’d rather be grafting in Afghanistan than unemployed in the UK . He recently left comprehensive school where he was probably an average student, played some form of sport, drove a ten year old rust bucket, and knew a girl that either broke up with him when he left, or swore to be waiting when he returns home. He moves easily to rock and roll or hip-hop or to the rattle of a 7.62mm machine gun.

He is about a stone lighter than when he left home because he is working or fighting from dawn to dusk and well beyond. He has trouble spelling, so letter writing is a pain for him, but he can strip a rifle in 25 seconds and reassemble it in the dark. He can recite every detail of a machine gun or grenade launcher and use either effectively if he has to. He digs trenches and toilets without the aid of machines and can apply first aid like a professional paramedic. He can march until he is told to stop, or stay dead still until he is told to move.

He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation but he is not without a rebellious spirit or a sense of personal dignity. He is confidently self-sufficient. He has two sets of uniform with him: he washes one and wears the other. He keeps his water bottle full and his feet dry. He sometimes forgets to brush his teeth, but never forgets to clean his rifle. He can cook his own meals, mend his own clothes and fix his own hurts. If you are thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you are hungry, his food is your food. He'll even share his life-saving ammunition with you in the heat of a firefight if you run low.

He has learned to use his hands like weapons and regards his weapon as an extension of his own hands. He can save your life or he can take it, because that is his job - it's what a soldier does. He often works twice as long and hard as a civilian, draw half the pay and have nowhere to spend it, and can still find black ironic humour in it all. There's an old saying in the British Army: 'If you can't take a joke, you shouldn't have joined!'

He has seen more suffering and death than he should have in his short lifetime. He has wept in public and in private, for friends who have fallen in combat and he is unashamed to show it or admit it. He feels every bugle note of the 'Last Post' or 'Sunset' vibrate through his body while standing rigidly to attention. He's not afraid to 'Bollock' anyone who shows disrespect when the Regimental Colours are on display or the National Anthem is played; yet in an odd twist, he would defend anyone's right to be an individual. Just as with generations of young people before him, he is paying the price for our freedom. Clean shaven and baby faced he may be, but be prepared to defend yourself if you treat him like a kid.

He is the latest in a long thin line of British Fighting Men that have kept this country free for hundreds of years. He asks for nothing from us except our respect, friendship and understanding. We may not like what he does, but sometimes he doesn't like it either - he just has it to do.. Remember him always, for he has earned our respect and admiration with his blood. And now we even have brave young women putting themselves in harm's way, doing their part in this tradition of going to war when our nation's politicians call on us to do so.

When you receive this, please stop for a moment and if you are so inclined, feel free to say a prayer for our troops in the trouble spots of the world.

Swale Celebration

Swale a Celebration of Culture
On Saturday I and my Judo Club were invited to give a demonstration of Judo, Sambo and CombatSombo. I expected we were invited because these two Grappling Disciplines originated from Japan and Russia different Cultures to our own. Yet as I mentioned in my commentary there has been Jacket wrestling in England since the 1400’s and that was Cornish Wrestling also we Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling (also known as back hang) I once wrote an article suggesting the founder of Judo Jigaro Kano saw Cornish Wrestling when the sailors visited Japan and maybe this was his inspiration for Judo.
This celebration involved lots of Dancing from India, singing from people of African origin both of which I enjoy and I know our Judo kids did because they joined, there many other cultures represented sadly no English Traditions was on display something quite common at these events. I did ask why Morris Dancers were not included, fair do to the organiser who said it was oversight at least she was honest, I am not sure what these Function are supposed to do? Band s parading through the town was great a lot of people have commented what a marvellous display and this helped people value their cultures but the Town Hall I do not believed that worked, although there were a lot of people present it seemed all were involved in some way or other with the show. As I said our own Club Members joined in and enjoyed themselves but it was disappointing to when it was our turn to go on the hall emptied and one guy half way through our demo started tuning his guitar over the speakers I am not sure whether he was rude or just bored but it was off putting. I have run enough Judo, Sambo events to know that no matter how many posters you put out only those connected with what we are doing turn up and sorry to say the same was of this event at the Town.
After saying all that I enjoyed my time there and enjoyed the enthusiasm, congratulation to the organiser for all the hard work they put in, may be next year do it in the high street with a Marquee and stage next to the Nat West and maybe include Irish and Scottish Dancers although we must respect the culture of different nations we must not forget the indigenous (British) people of these Islands who made this country the place to settle. Great day not to happy though if it was paid for out of my Council Taxes.

Stolen Tractor in Poland

I was recently talking to friend who has contacts with members of the farming world and he told me a couple of things
1) It seems that Farmers in the Swale area are having their equipment stolen and when one went on the Internet he found his Tractor being offered on EBay in Poland
2) Sheep rustling is become very popular but not with flocks of sheep but individual ones it seems certain groups of people no longer wish to buy a sheep for their spit bar b q. Brings a new meaning to Pick your Own
3) It also seems that our foreign workforce are not quite the saints they are betrayed out to be especially when it comes to picking fruit which are often bruised with a lot of waste and of course our hard done by farmers are not happy. Well can I say you they only have themselves to blame for employing cheap foreign labour rather then employing honest English labour? Rubbish English people do not want work I hear you say, that is a myth put out by Greedy Employers. Years ago women would do the fruit picking along with proper Gypsies who would stay on the farms for months in their caravans. The one thing the foreman would say pick your fruit carefully and place the fruit in basket or bin, yes it took a bit longer but there was less damaged fruit. Health and Safety stops women bringing their children to work when on a farm, rightly so a farm can be a dangerous place. What used to happen the women would drop the kids of at school and a 9am a Lorry or Bus would collect them and bring them back at 3pm to collect the kids. The women brought in extra money to the family and they could be with their children when they were needed. Not in today’s society in Nu Labour under the likes of Harriet Harman, a women must take on a full time job which doesn’t coincide with the needs of the family if she doesn’t she will be pilloried for not contributing to society.
All those British employers who employ cheap foreign labour do so at the expense of the British workman, this may be OK when there is full employment but we have now Millions unemployed and nearly all British. One final point I am told every one is saying how good Morrison’s are as they have brought a 1000 jobs to the area but why is it that 200 of those jobs have gone to Eastern Europeans imported into the Town?

Ashley Wise is a fool

I know you do not like my political letters but I have to take issue with Ashley Wise in his assumption that Politically Correctness is rare and that there is no Politically Correct Guardian where has he been living in the last few years in outer space, he is like an Ostrich who puts his head the sand when he does not want see anything. Let me just give a few examples

As for the PC Guardian it is Harriet Harman (sorry harperson) MP she has been responsible for more PC Correctness then any individual

To finalise I totally agree with what MEP Dan Hannan said as for Enoch Powell I very much doubt if Ashley Wise has read his biography let alone the River of Blood Speech, expect he just heard the ranting of his fellow Left Wing Bigots as for him agreeing that “Freedom of Speech is a democratic right” His Politically Correct World spits in the Face of Freedom of Speech

Are the BNP Clever

The BNP have very clever in accepting Non White people into their organisation, we are told that they had to do this because our Political Intelligencer have said they are breaking Racial Equality Laws by not allowing Non Whites in. Can I say firstly if the BNP are such a bigoted organisation why would some one who is not white want to join? I always thought that being Democratic is about letting the individual decide what they want with little or no Government interference, I have a group of mates who meet every Christmas Eve since 1966 and we call ourselves the Christmas Eve Club and we wear a silly designed tie and normally get drunk Christmas Eve Dinner after singing carols and exaggerating tales of our youth. The CEC doesn’t have any women members or any ethnic members so are we breaking some DISCRIMINATION Laws?
BNP under the direction of Nick Griffiths are slowly becoming a main stream party and slowly they are hiding their Right Wing attitudes and because all the major political parties and the Left wing hate them they give them the oxygen of publicity, this makes the people of this country stand up say WHY is everyone so frightened of the BNP? If you listened to Nick Griffiths on Sky and read his articles he doesn’t come across as racist His comment was "'There are three different groups of people in this multicultural Britain now,' he said.’ There’s the indigenous Brits, people like you and me; there's settled ethnic minorities populations who are here legally and legitimately and they are civically British and we have no problem with them at all; and then we have the third block, the colonists, people wanting to change our country into something completely different,' Mr Griffin said.
'A large number of the settled ethnic minority population, Sikhs, Hindus and so on, are actually very much in favour of the British National Party's stance about stopping any further immigration.'
Asked if the sorts of British ethnic minorities he believed supported the party were included in the 'indigenous' group the party would stand up for, he said: 'Oh no, no, no, no, no. 'Of course they are not indigenous. We are saying they are civically British, which is a matter of common sense, also that they are patently not of the ancestral stock of this country. 'It doesn't make them bad; it just makes them a little bit different.'
Now what has he said that is racist or offensive NOTHING and this where he is crafty because he makes all those who call him a racist look silly
The BNP at present will never become a main stream party and to vote for them on a National basis is a wasted vote in my eyes, but you could be on the verge of seeing the uprising of a New Party, as soon as the BNP allow Non White people in and the get them voted in on the EC you will see the Racists Hooligans leave in droves and you will see the birth of a New Right Wing Party led by Nick Griffiths

Steve Gately & Stephen Friar

There has been a lot said about this Pop Musician Steven Gately, it seems Stephen Friar got right of his box because some women in the Daily Mail wrote an article suggesting that his life style was the cause of his death I took this to mean Drugs, Booze, Parties etc but the Pink Mafia including Stephen Friar ( I might add some one who I have a lot of respect for and some one who has not used his Homosexuality to promote his career) took it to mean he died because he was Homosexual. They then orchestrated a Twitter rampage to castigate the Femail reporter, not the first time this has been done. The Daily Mail organised a survey a Gypsies getting preferential Hospital Treatment over the rest of us, those of us who live in the real world would have said that is wrong, No not the World of Twitters they feel they are superior to the ordinary person in the street, mind you I expect most have Private health care so it will not affect them Twitterers claim victory over loaded Daily Mail gypsy poll

My main point is that this Stephen Gately may have been a wonderful person and it is a tragedy that a man of his age should die but he was only a Pop Singer! Our soldiers who are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan do not get that amount of coverage and they died for their country. Some commentators have said he was brave to come out as a Homosexual what is brave about that? surely it is a requisite of those in the entertainment business to tell people they are Homosexual, what is Brave is fighting for your Country. I expect at the next X Factor Simon Cowell will ask for a minute silence. Steve Gately death was a tragedy for his family and friends but he was only a Pop Star not a national Hero

Restraurateur Victim or Suspect

I was recently talking to a Sittingbourne Restaurateur , he told me he had a group of people in their late twenties do a runner one Sunday dinner time (leave without paying) during the week he saw two of the women and asked them to pay or explain why they did not pay. They started to make excuses and then ran, he chased them and grabbed one stating that he would get the Police involved at this point the 2 women’s Boyfriends/Husbands arrived and attacked the Restaurateur. He managed to get the better off these cowards and they run away, he reported the incident to the Police and the group was arrested but released because the Restaurateur used unnecessary force, he was considered lucky that they did not press charges. So these Cowardly Thieving Yobs escape justice and get a free meal in the bargain, now everyone has to pay in advance for their meals. Now I heard this from the man involved I can not guarantee his story but his case is not unusual in where the Police end up treating the victim as the suspect,

SHAG BANDS
The latest rage in Schools is SHAG BANDS these bands worn around the wrist are an invitation to perform sexual acts depending on what happens to the band this was related to me and others by a 14 year old schoolgirl. The definition of Shag is :1) To have sexual intercourse, 2) A sea bird, A small cormorant, 3) A form of rough pipe tobacco, 4) A thick pile on a carpet. On this particular occasion Shag refers to No 1. So now Sexual Intercourse which at one time was called Making Love normally done between married couples and later between loving couples has now been downgraded to something you do in playtime or in between playing your Nintendo. Do those we look up to for Moral Guidance School Teachers, Church etc do any thing about this NO this school girl has told me and others that is just a fun thing which teachers join in with (this I find hard to believe I hope) but you break a band you have to get pregnant! So much for the New Mantra of Teaching Relationships to our Children, I have for many years said those experts who continually bleat on about teaching more and more sex education and teaching it to even younger children, now they want it taught to 5 year olds, has been proven wrong. The more you teach the more teenage pregnancies increase the more sexual related disease go up and the more broken relationships there are maybe the time has come to look back to the 1950’s with a bit more reverence then disdain and remember the 1960’s as the start of the corruption of our Morals by people who own sexual tastes should be investigated.

Bird Feeder

The Bird Feeder
I bought a bird feeder.. I hung
it on my patio and filled
it lovingly with seed... It was indeed a beautiful bird feeder.
Within a
week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the
Continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.
But then the birds started
building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table,
and next to the barbecue..
Then came the bird sh * t. It was
everywhere; on the patio tiles,
the chairs, the table ....
everywhere!
Then some of the birds
turned mean. They would
dive bomb me and try to
peck me even though I had
fed them out of my own
pocket.
And other birds were
boisterous and loud. They
sat on the feeder and
squawked and screamed at
all hours of the day and night
and demanded that I fill it
when it got low on food.
After a while, I couldn't even
sit on my own back porch
anymore. So I took down the
bird feeder and in three days
the birds were gone. I cleaned
up their mess and took down
the many nests they had built
all over the patio.
Soon, the back yard was like
it used to be ... quiet, serene
and no one demanding their
rights to a free meal...
Now let's see ......
Brown & our government give out
free food, subsidised housing,
free medical care, and free
education and allows anyone
born here to be an automatic
citizen.
Then the illegals came by
the millions. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for the
free services; small flats
are housing 5 or more families; you
have to wait 6 hours to be seen
by a doctor in an emergency surgery
because it is filled with illegal non tax payers;
your child's year 12 class is
behind other schools because
over half the class doesn't speak
English.
Corn Flakes now come in a
bilingual box; I have to
'press one' to hear my bank
talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other
than 'The Union Jack' are
squawking and screaming
in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.
Its just my opinion but:
maybe, just maybe,
it's time for the government
to take down the damn bird feeder.
If you agree, pass it on; if not,
continue cleaning up the sh*t!

CRB plus ID

Dear Editor
Next Year we are told that anyone who has dealings with children will have to have a Criminal Records Bureaux Check to see if they are not paedophiles (so a change in English Law Guilty till proven innocent). It seems these draconian measures will extend to people attending a Children’s sports and other event etc, rumours has it that if you working in environment where children are you will need a CRB check i.e. shop keepers, ice cream salesman etc. I think it is disgraceful that we are all considered perverts until we can prove different but I wonder if there is alternative reason for the Governments obsession with CRB? Could it be that that all the information you put on the revised CRB form could form the basis of an ID Card, so we would get ID Cards on the cheap because it is the individual who pays for a CRB Check
