EU and Gypsies

A friend of mine sent me this article and labeled it
“Lunatics taking over the asylum”

The EU is paying for a seminar on Human rights for Gypsies and Travellers.
Here is a list of the speakers all paid for us the Tax payers not the  Gypsy fraternity who pay little or no Tax
Typical Bureaucratic Fas, with all these speakers being paid a handsome sum to discuss these people who flout the Law of the Country. EVEN MORE REASON TO GET OUT OF THE EU

What about the rights of the ordinary hardworking Englishman, who pays his taxes, lives by the letter of the law., what of their rights?

I do not have a lot of time for Travellers but I rather associate with them then those speakers and the EU who hide under the mantle of respectability and take Dane geld to keep themselves gobbling at the trough of money and hypocrisy

The Council of Europe's Commissioner for Human Rights, has told the UK Government it is failing to safeguard the human rights of the UK's Gypsy and Traveller population. In a letter published in The Independent to Communities Secretary Eric Pickles, the Council points to the eviction of travellers from Dale Farm as evidence of violation of international human rights conventions.

Local authority cuts to the number of Traveller sites, enable by the Government's Localism Bill, had been a contributory factor to the violation of Travellers' rights to adequate housing, enshrined in the European Convention of Human Rights, the Commissioner says.

"The events of October 2011 at Dale Farm in Basildon, Essex... powerfully illustrates these concerns," he adds.
Delivering Services for Gypsies and Travellers is the national conference for all those working in Gypsy and Traveller services. Taking place on Thursday 22nd March 2012 at Westminster Studio, London SW1 it will explore emerging trends, address the latest policy and encourage the sharing of best practice.
