Autumn Colour

I am not a great lover of Winter in Kent, the Sun goes down to quick, its Cold, Damp and Wet. As luck would have it I caught a dose of Flu just before my Flu Jab. I have not had Flu for years and forgot how much it affects your joints, as you get older and my diabetes.  Yet after complaining Autumn can be a very colourful Month, the photo below is taken from my bedroom window overlooking the hot tub. Some years ago I planted some plant or other which creep along the lattice work and in the Autumn it creates some stunning colours, this year a vine has crept along a bush which in May /June produce Blue flowers. You can see the red streak along the green  which I find quite attractive

An Attack on a President

A friend from the USA sent the following article about Obama read it and see if it fits any of our Politicians

The liberal Newsweek Magazine is going out of business but not before it attacks the President. Wonderful story!

This is quite an article, even more so when you consider that NEWSWEEK finally had the guts to admit it. WOW!Newsweek COVER!!! It is their last cover before they fold. Also read the article at the end. AMAZING!!! Finally, Matt Patterson and Newsweek speak out about Obama. This is timely and tough. As many of you know, Newsweek has a reputation for being extremely liberal. The fact that their editor saw fit to print the following article about Obama and the one that appears in the latest Newsweek, makes this a truly amazing event, and a news story in and of itself. At last, the truth about our President and his agenda are starting to trickle through the protective wall built around him by the liberal media...

By Matt Patterson (Newsweek Columnist - Opinion Writer)  "Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?  Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League, despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer;" a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, less often did he vote "present"); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.

He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: the white-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama's "spiritual mentor;" a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?  There is no evidence that he ever attended or worked for any university or that he ever sat for the Illinois bar. We have no documentation for any of his claims. He may well be the greatest hoax in history.

Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberal Dom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were 'a bit' extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass - held to a lower standard because of the color of his skin.

Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) "non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest?  Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon - affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.  Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self-esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes, racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin - that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is.  And that is what America did to Obama.

True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois ; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.

What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks? In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people - conservatives included - ought now to be deeply embarrassed.  The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that's when he has his Teleprompters in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth - it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years. (An example is his 2012 campaign speeches which are almost word for word his 2008 speeches)

And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. Remember, he wanted the job, campaigned for the task. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerless-ness, so comfortable with his own incompetence. (The other day he actually came out and said no one could have done anything to get our economy and country back on track). But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?

In short: our president is a small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone otherwise with such an impostor in the Oval Office."

Faith

interesting That the Yanks are not afraid to proclaim their faith, in the UK I expected I will be ridiculed for forwarding this message and insults such as "Martin and his Invisible friend" will appear from people who think themselves Intellectual superior

A man from Norfolk , VA called a local radio station to share this on Sept 11th, 2003, TWO YEARS AFTER THE TRAGEDIES OF 9/11/2001.

His name was Robert Matthews. These are his words:

A few weeks before Sept. 11th, my wife and I found out we were going to have our first child. She planned a trip out to California to visit her sister.  On our way to the airport, we prayed that God would grant my wife a safe trip and be with her. Shortly after I said 'amen,' we both
heard a loud pop and the car shook violently. We had blown out a tire. I replaced the tire as quickly as I could, but we still missed her flight. both very upset, we drove home..

I received a call from my father who was retired NYFD. He asked what my wife's flight number was, but I explained that we missed the flight.

My father informed me that her flight was the one that crashed into the southern tower. I was too shocked to speak. My father also had more news for me; he was going to help. 'This is not something I can't just sit by for; I have to do something.'

I was concerned for his safety, of course, but more because he had never given his life to Christ. After a brief debate, I knew his mind was made up.  Before he got off of the phone, he said, 'take good care of my grandchild.  Those were the last words I ever heard my father say; he died while helping in the rescue effort.

My joy that my prayer of safety for my wife had been answered quickly became anger. I was angry at God, at my father, and at  myself. I had gone for nearly two years blaming God for taking my father away. My son would never know his grandfather, my father had never accepted Christ, and I never got to say good-bye.

Then something happened. About two months ago, I was sitting at home with my wife and my son, when there was a knock on the  door. I looked at my wife, but I could tell she wasn't expecting anyone. I opened the door to a couple with a small child.

The man looked at me and asked if my father's name was Jake Matthews. I told him it was. He quickly grabbed my hand and said, 'I never got the chance to meet your father, but it is an honor to meet his son.'

He explained to me that his wife had worked in the World Trade Center and had been caught inside after the attack. She was pregnant and had been caught under debris. He then explained that my father had been the one to find his wife and free her.  My eyes welled up with tears as I thought of my father giving his life for people like this. He then said, 'there is something else you need to know.'

His wife then told me that as my father worked to free her, she talked to him and led him to Christ. I began sobbing at the news.

Now I know that when I get to Heaven, my father will be standing beside Jesus to welcome me, and that this family would be able to thank him themselves .

When their baby boy was born, they named him Jacob Matthew, in honor of the man who gave his life so that a mother and baby could live.

This story should help us to realize this: God is always in control.

We may not see the reason behind things, and we may never know this side of heaven, but God is ALWAYS in control.

Please take time to share this amazing story.  You may never know the impact it may have on someone..  God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.  His love endures Forever.  Psalm 136:1

I feel strange about UKIP win

UKIP win a Tory Seat and nearly win a Labour seat, I feel strange about this. One part of me says GREAT this country needs a shake up YET another side says we will no doubt have a Labour Government and No referendum. The latter is the worst thing that can happen. The Economy will Fail, UK will get into even more debt, Immigration will be out of control, More powers will be given to the EU.

So what is the answer:

1) People come to their senses in LibDem and Labour areas they vote UKIP and in Conservatives areas we will all vote Conservative. Will this happen NO!
2) UKIP and Conservatives come to an agreement on which constituencies to put up candidates > Will this happen NO? Why? because those in charge of UKIP and the Conservatives are to pig headed, the Conservatives think they can still win with another dreadful Coalition and UKIP think they will win enough seats to influence a future Government and that will not happen

Once again I say if because of UKIP we get a Labour the people of GB will never forgive them

After all what OI have said Nigel Farage does says things the rest of us think, I refer to the comment where people with Aids should not be allowed into this country A sensible thing to say I would have thought BUT know the left media and press are slating. So their logic is let everyone from Africa with EBOLA. Sometimes these left wingers and do gooders have their brains in their backsides

Farage calls for ban on immigrants with 'life-threatening illnesses'... hours after being urged to show 'compassion' by new MP (whose father inspired Hollywood with treatment of HIV in Africa)

  • Farage says Britain should not accept immigrants with HIV or tuberculosis
  • Call comes hours after party's new MP urged Farage to show compassion
  • Carswell's father diagnosed the first confirmed cases of HIV/AIDS in Uganda
  • Wilson Carswell inspired 'Dr Garrigan' in 'The Last King of Scotland' film
  • A bill forcing immigrants to prove they didn't have HIV was defeated this year
  • HIV charities attacked Farage and said ban has 'no impact on epidemic'

Immigration and Morocco

http://immigration.conservatives.com/

CONTROLLING IMMIGRATION

The Conservatives are controlling immigration so our economy and local services deliver for hardworking taxpayers.
We're cutting net immigration from outside the EU to levels not seen since the 1990s and clamping down on benefits tourism and health tourism, shutting down bogus colleges and making it easier to deport foreign criminals.
In government, Labour let immigration spiral out of control - and they have opposed every measure we've taken to reduce immigration.
LABOUR DON'T AGREE WITH OUR POLICIES TO CONTROL IMMIGRATION – BUT WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Do you agree with controlling immigration so our economy and local services deliver for hardworking taxpayers?
Do you agree with our policy of clamping down on benefits tourism and health tourism?
Do you agree with shutting down bogus colleges?
Do you agree with making it easier to deport foreign criminals?
Do you agree with insisting immigrants speak better English?

FILBY A Lovely Place To Be

Have just finished my caravan break in Norfolk and came across the village of Filby a true quintessential English Village. one wonders, with all the immigration to England,  how long will it last. Also a photo of the lovely Church in Cromer lets hope it does not turn into a Mosque and Young Farmers have a unique way of advertising.

Nick Clegg Vince Cable

I have just listened to the Millionaire LibDem Leader Nick Clegg who now says he agrees with a Referendum on the EU as long as a new Treaty he went on to say that in GB we do not have referendums every 5 minutes. Well Mr Rich Man Clegg the last time we had a referendum on Europe was January 22nd 1972 when he was 5 years old.

That other fool Vince Cable (remember him from the Post Office fiasco) now tell us Immigration is good for the country and we need more immigration. He goes on to say the British Public do not understand about immigration and they will build 5 new Towns between Oxford and Cambridge, now guess where a lot of immigrants work and live? Yes Cambridge and East Anglia so we are going to have 5 news Towns for immigrants.

It has been reported that LibDems MP's could drop from 60 to 30 after the next election BUT they could still be be in Government with either Conservative or Labour. Now how can that be a democratic system? When a party who the majority of the country do not want can be in government. Our present Electoral system elects government which the majority of the people do not vote for. Once again the fairest electoral system is to make it compulsory for people to vote and if any candidate in an election does not get 50% of the Vote the top two go back for election, this way your MP will get the majority vote

Speech and ECHR

I am not a fan of David Cameron but have to admit he gave a cracking speech at the Tory Conference and made me start to believe in the Conservative Party again. I still believe that UKIP can see us get a Labour Government, what UKIP needs to do is to concentrate on beating Labour and LibDems. The UKIP have no chance of making a Government and it is only the Conservatives who will give us a referendum on the EU.

One thing I agree with is us leaving the European Court of Human Rights and having our own British Human Rights. If you listen to some of those pro europeans like Ken Clark you would think that if we withdraw from the ECHR human rights would no longer exist and we cannot survive without Europe. Yet Canada and Australia have their own Human Rights and you can not say they are not civilised countries, remember the ECHR cost the UK £42 billion. Of course the Human Rights Lawyers say it is only a very small proportion of Judgements that effect the UK, you know when terrorists, murderers etc can not be kicked out of the UK and are then given million of pounds in compensation. These Human Rights Lawyers will want us to stay in the ECHR because they make millions of pounds from it, they disgust me

Last Caravan Trip

Valerie at Oulton Broads

Summer is over so I decided to have my last Caravan break in Norfolk and after the stress of the Presidents Cup I needed the break. I staid at Haven Holiday Camp Caister, this was one one of the best sites I have been on and I can recommend it to anyone. Indoor swimming pool, marvellous entertainment area and plenty of entertainment especially for Kids, that is why I would never come at peak holiday time. Norfolk Broads is a brilliant area

Mind you it seems the gremlins has attacked me on this trip, the most important thing when caravanning for me is the TV, so you can imagine my distress when the TV had broken down. So I sent of in a panic to buy another one which cost £99, set the expensive caravan satnav to return and that had given up the ghost, no worries I had a spare TOM TOM. The following day I tried to use the Tom Tom and that also had broken down a very expensive last caravan trip for 2014
